REVISIONS IN THIS ISSUE The correction of data previously provided to the ABS and the incorporation of final survey data has resulted in revisions to estimates from December quarter 2006, across most items.
Assets of Securitisers At the end of the June quarter 2007, total assets of Australian Securitisers were $276.1b, up $29.9b (12.1%) on the March quarter 2007 total. Mortgage assets, which accounted for 78.6% of total assets, were $216.9b at 30 June 2007, an increase of $25.0b (13.0%) during the quarter.
Liabilities of Securitisers The increase of $29.9b in total liabilities during the June quarter 2007 was due to onshore issuance of long term asset backed securities (up $18.2b, 17.0%) Asset backed securities issued offshore fell to 35.8% of total liabilities in the June quarter 2007, down 0.5 percentage points on March quarter 2007.
